Qualifications

What you will do

This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction for fire inspections in the local district office. Responsibilities include supervising fire alarm inspectors and sprinkler inspectors, developing business strategies, and implementing action plans to meet district objectives and drive profitable growth of the Fire Service business, including embracing company programs, identifying life safety deficiencies, and making recommendations.

How you will do it

Revenue Responsibility: Responsible for implementing plans, programs, and processes to meet and exceed growth objectives while maximizing market potential for Planned Service Agreements.

Customer Satisfaction: Assist in leading inspection teams to develop and maintain processes that deliver customer satisfaction through effective and timely inspections. Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled promptly, aiming to enhance customer experience.

Productivity Improvement: Monitor district service productivity and seek ways to improve it. Assess manpower needs to support contractual obligations, including direct and subcontracted employees.

Employee Development: Identify team strengths and weaknesses, and develop plans to coach and develop each member to reach their potential. Work effectively within a matrix structure by maintaining open communication and resolving conflicts promptly and respectfully.

Safety Compliance: Support company and area safety initiatives. Observe daily operations to ensure safety procedures are followed and address any issues immediately. Ensure compliance with all corporate policies related to affirmative action and equal employment opportunities.

What we look for

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • College degree or equivalent work experience of 10 years — preferred
  • Minimum 5 years in the Fire Services industry
  • MASS Class D License
  • Ability to analyze deficiencies and develop appropriate action plans
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, coach, develop teams, and address conflict
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
