Pay: $18 an hour

Job Type: Seasonal, Full-time

Location: Jasper, AB

What will be your daily pursuit?: As a Skywalk Interpretive Guide, you will educate and help create lasting memories for every guest that comes to the Skywalk.

What will your compensation be?: The starting salary for this position is $18.00 per hour + $1.00/hr retention bonus for every regular hour worked.

When does this adventure begin?: This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2025.

What will you do in this job?:

1. Deliver exceptional interpretive information to guests from around the world.
2. Provide guests with a guided tour experience that can run anywhere between 30 – 45 minutes depending on group volume.
3. Rotate through various interpretive stations.
4. Perform 10 – 15-minute presentations to large groups.
5. Be proactive with maintenance issues and safety concerns.
6. Help load and unload shuttle buses when needed.
7. Report safety issues to the Manager and Supervisor in a timely manner.
8. Welcome guests to the Skywalk, providing information and ensuring tickets are correct.
9. Distribute Audio Tours to guests.
10. Maintain a high level of cleanliness of the entire attraction including the glass platform.
11. Other duties as assigned by your employer.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

1. Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position!
2. Able to stay busy and always seek out the next task.
3. Energetic individuals with a passion for the mountains and everything about the area!
4. Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment.
5. Able to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
6. A fantastic sense of humor as well as a friendly, mature, energetic personality.
7. Charismatic and comfortable with speaking to large groups.
8. Previous interpretive guiding experience is an asset.
9. Able to stand and work outside in varying mountain weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail) for the entire duration of an 8-hour shift.
10. Commitment to becoming an interpretive expert and ambassador through the completion of a 4-day interpretive training program (provided upon starting employment).
11. Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.
12. Class 5 Canadian driver's license (with clean abstract) is an asset but not required.
13. Ability to think on the fly and outside the box to solve problems with a positive attitude.
14. Must meet Pursuit grooming and appearance standards.
15. To honor our commitment to be “Always Honest,” all employees must consent to a criminal record check.
16. Standard First-Aid or higher is an asset.
