TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a FIRE SAFETY ADVISOR for an Edmonton area-based opportunity to work in an operation plant environment.

Job Description:

  • Verify building fire equipment to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and provide recommendations for improvement as required.
  • Create floor plans for fire equipment and protocols for buildings.
  • Stay updated on changes in fire safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure effective inspections and recommendations.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in fire safety or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of fire safety codes and regulations in an industrial setting.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in Fire Safety or a related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, MS Word, etc.).
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills for assessing fire safety systems and identifying recommendations.
  • Ability to stay current with evolving fire safety regulations, industry practices, and technology advancements.
  • Exposure to drafting/designing is ideal.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
