Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Construction Pipelayer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground sewers, storm drains, water mains & underground hydro / tel on various civil construction projects. Working closely with the construction crew, the Pipelayer will utilize their expertise to ensure that all piping systems are installed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and safety standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in pipe laying and a solid understanding of construction principles and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Install, maintain, and repair underground sewers, storm drains, water mains & underground hydro / tel
• Follow project specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of piping systems.
• Operate and maintain pipe laying tools & equipment.
• Position and align pipes according to grade specifications and project requirements.
• Inspect piping systems for defects, leaks, or damages and repair as needed.
• Perform backfilling and compaction of trenches to restore ground surfaces.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents or safety hazards encountered.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, technologies, and best practices related to pipe laying and civil construction.
• Participate in training programs and skill development opportunities to enhance proficiency and knowledge in the field.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements :

• Experience : Previous experience in pipe laying or civil construction is preferred.
• Knowledge : Understanding of construction principles, techniques, and practices related to pipe laying.
• Physical Fitness : Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and working in various weather conditions.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to follow project specifications, blueprints, and instructions accurately to ensure proper installation of piping systems.
