A leading healthcare provider in Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced RN for their Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves performing various cardiac procedures, requiring certifications like ACLS and BLS. Candidates must have at least 2 years of cath lab experience and be prepared for weekend calls. The hospital provides scrubs and support from various teams.

Pay: $90 to $92 depending on experience.

Med Sol prescreens, manager reviews, and offers. Candidates must provide 2 supervisor references (charge accepted): one within 12 months and another within 3 years of employment. Candidates previously employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
Before signing the contract, the DYS exam through Relias must be completed within 24-48 hours, with a pass/fail outcome after 2 attempts. A screenshot of the attempts is required. If taken within 12 months previously, it can be accepted. Failure after 2 attempts results in disqualification.
The unit includes Cath Lab & IR. Consideration is given to those who do not scrub. Notes are obtained by email with the manager. There are 3 beds in suites/labs.
Certifications: ARRT (if applicable), ACLS, BLS; Techs require RCIS and BLS. Expect an average of 10 cases per day. EMR system: Cerner. Charge nurse available. Cath lab / IR techs are required.
Weekend call is required every other weekend from Friday 15:30 to Monday 07:00, with a response time of 30 minutes. Holidays are rotating. Hospital provides scrubs. Vents, IV team, RT, and pharmacy are available 24/7.
Shifts are generally 8 hours with varied start times, usually around 7 am. No floating. Orientation depends on skill level, typically 1-2 shifts. Procedures include cardiac invasive, peripheral, carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and interventions. No structural heart procedures or 'dirty' procedures like PEGs or G-tubes.
A minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience is required.
