Job description

Job Title: MCASPHALT | Maintenance Coordinator

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Macklin Facility - 4529 Industrial Park Road, Macklin, SK, S0L 2C0

Reporting to: Facility Manager

We offer a wide range of asphalt products, including emulsions, cutbacks, polymer-modified, performance-graded, roofing, and specialized transportation by rail, land, and water. Our comprehensive services also encompass paving, testing, research and development, engineering, and consulting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and execute the CMMS program.
  2. Manage the CMMS system to produce and maintain maintenance records, track, and report activities.
  3. Create and complete work orders through the CMMS system, coordinating maintenance workflow.
  4. Develop and update plant-level work procedures, establish preventative maintenance schedules, generate PM work orders, and track preventive tasks.
  5. Organize and maintain records, certificates, licenses, technical documents, equipment manuals, engineering drawings, and P&IDs.
  6. Monitor inventory of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies; initiate reordering when necessary.
  7. Acquire quotations from vendors and contractors as needed.
  8. Oversee part orders, repairs, and contractor work, ensuring timely completion.
  9. Communicate with suppliers and contractors, aligning with company values.
  10. Schedule off-season maintenance in coordination with operations and management.
  11. Prepare plans and budgets for maintenance activities and projects.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
  13. Provide technical assistance to coworkers when needed.
Qualifications
  • College certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or facilities environment.
  • Understanding of production processes and familiarity with manufacturing equipment (e.g., controllers, boilers, pumps, valves).
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CMMS systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills; experience with PLC, DCS, automation, plumbing, welding is an asset.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and outdoors in various environments.
  • Work at heights and confined space entry experience.
  • Availability for off-hours and emergency overtime.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clear record.
