Various federal departments and agencies – see below for the types of jobs available. Jobs are located in Nunavut : Iqaluit, Cambridge Bay, Rankin Inlet, Pangnirtung, Pond Inlet, and other locations in Nunavut. Salary level depends on the position.

Who can apply : Persons residing in Canada, and Canadian citizens and Permanent residents abroad. Nunavut Inuit enrolled in the Nunavut Agreement will be appointed first.

Intent of the process
The goal of this recruitment inventory is to match Nunavut Inuit with current and future Government of Canada job opportunities. Inuit already working for the Government of Canada can apply to this inventory and be offered jobs. However, in the spirit of achieving a representative public service in Nunavut, the intent of the process is to bring new Inuit into the federal public service.

This inventory is managed by the Public Service Commission of Canada in partnership with Pilimmaksaivik (Federal Centre of Excellence for Inuit Employment in Nunavut). Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and can be submitted at any time.

Various language requirements. Positions may ask for knowledge of English only, French only, or both English and French. Fluency in Inuktut may be considered as an essential or asset qualification for some jobs.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Depending on the position, you will need :
A minimum of two years of secondary school or a secondary school diploma. An employer-approved alternative, such as an acceptable combination of education, training, and / or experience may be accepted for certain jobs. We encourage all candidates to apply.

Fluency in the official languages of Nunavut (i.e. Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun). Other qualifications may be needed, depending on the job.
