Qualifications

As a Senior Analyst, National Tax your responsibilities will include:

  1. Prepare tax technical information and marketing collateral for internal and external publication
  2. Help develop and maintain internal tax resources and tools including templates, checklists, guides, process documents, etc.
  3. Act as a resource for research and dissemination of information on tax issues of a national interest
  4. Assist in reviewing and assessing tax technologies
  5. Participate in the development of internal tax training
  6. Liaise with other internal teams to coordinate on projects
  7. Assist with the implementation of National Tax initiatives as needed
  8. Other duties as assigned

  1. Accounting designation (CPA/CA, CGA or CMA), Master of Taxation or enrolled in or completion of CPA Canada’s In-depth Tax Program
  2. Post-secondary education in a related field
  3. 3+ years working in a professional service environment
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Strong knowledge of the principles of taxation
  6. Experience using Taxprep or equivalent software (e.g., Profile or TaxCycle)
  7. CaseWare experience would be an asset
  8. Ability to grasp new technology and think innovatively
  9. Works well as part of a team and focuses on collaboration and cooperation
  10. Takes ownership of tasks, takes initiative in independently moving projects forward
