Appointment of Occasional Teachers in Long Term Assignments

This assignment shall be filled in accordance with Part A, Article 17.3 of the current OECTA Elementary Collective Agreement, prioritizing unplaced, qualified redundant teacher applicants from the Elementary Teacher bargaining in order of seniority. If unfilled, applications from the Occasional Roster will be considered.

We encourage applications from all certified teachers and education students holding, or who have applied for, a Temporary Certificate of Registration and Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers.

Assignment Details

The posted end date is subject to change and the assignment may terminate earlier, including:

1. on a date determined to meet a Board staffing requirement;
2. the last teaching day before the return of the absent teacher;
3. or by the last teaching day of the current school year.

The assignment may end sooner than the posted end date.
