A leading hospital in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts responsible for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. They are expected to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse reports directly to a designated Nursing Director or supervisor and practices within the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practices.
Our Emergency Department at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital provides compassionate, personalized care with a team of board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and techs experienced in emergency care. The unit has 21 beds with staffing ratios of 4:1, and operates 24/7. We care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, and utilize a new care model to improve quality and efficiency. Diagnostic services such as X-ray, CT, ultrasound, and MRI are available 24/7. The hospital is a designated Primary Stroke Center and is developing a TeleStroke Program in collaboration with BWH and MGH.
