Job description

Position Purpose :

Vault Associates are responsible for supporting and troubleshooting existing equipment in the store (e.g., registers, scan equipment, printers, etc.). They clean and maintain equipment, build professional and courteous relationships with Sales Audit, banks, and armored car services. They also handle all returned cheque inquiries and cheque collection issues, complete opening and closing vault counts, and prepare all tills and change drawers.

Position Responsibilities :

We're looking for associates who can tap into their inner orange by:

  1. Providing friendly and courteous customer service to all associates
  2. Responding promptly to Cashier and Head Cashier requests
  3. Counting vault and key media from previous days' sales
  4. Balancing petty cash and cashier floats
  5. Balancing the safe
  6. Maintaining cashier logs
  7. Making daily cash and cheque deposits
  8. Logging cashier overages and shortages
  9. Informing management of missing media, sorts, and overages
  10. Troubleshooting and supporting existing computer equipment in the store
Experience / Knowledge Required :

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in the previous system)
  2. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  3. Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience
  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Self-starter, efficient, organized, and able to produce high-quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion
  7. Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and confidentiality
  8. Must be detail-oriented with good follow-up skills
