Temporary Full Time

Reporting to the Assistant Manager CL Direct Contracting, this position is suited for an individual who shows strong attention to detail, is highly motivated with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and thrives in a constantly changing environment. The Contracts & Compensation Specialist (CCS) will be responsible for onboarding and administration of contracting & licensing events, assisting with various administrative tasks, and data input into multiple compensation systems. This role acts as a facilitator between advisors, field management/Canada Life business partners, regulatory boards, and securities commissions. The successful candidate will need to learn and understand the rules, processes, and legal requirements of governing boards across provinces, applying this knowledge to various scenarios to determine legal and system requirements.

What you will do:
  1. Analyze eligibility and process contract applications for Advisors, including updates and transfers in various systems.
  2. Process new contract files and ensure proper licensing in a timely manner.
  3. Review applications and handle licensing issues (including sponsorship) and terminations of life and mutual fund licenses across provinces, adhering to Canada Life guidelines, provincial regulations, and MFDA compliance.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with Insurance Councils, Securities Commissions, and internal/external business partners.
  5. Guide business partners on contract requirements, licensing, or E&O.
  6. Maintain detailed records of contractual arrangements using Onbase.
  7. Update and maintain licensing and contracting information across various systems such as Rep/Org database, National Registration Database, Investment Centre, Siebel, FASAT, Mainframe, etc.
  8. Collaborate with teams across departments to support request transitions.
  9. Address complex issues as they arise.
  10. Support additional administrative duties or projects as needed.
What you will bring:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; adaptable to new systems.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude, capable of working independently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with quality work.
  • Excellent organizational skills, managing multiple priorities across systems.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Knowledge of advisor contracts and provincial licensing is an asset.
  • Comfort with both remote and on-site (hybrid) work arrangements.

The salary range for this role is $42,500 - $63,800 annually, exclusive of variable compensation components such as bonuses or commissions.
