Description :
The Department of Medicine and the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Sinai Health System and the University Health Network, in collaboration with the Department of Medicine and the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto, are seeking to recruit up to two qualified full-time academic geriatricians. These positions are for a Clinician in Quality & Innovation and a Clinician Teacher. Successful candidates will be hired through either Sinai Health System or the University Health Network, both affiliated with the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network. Candidates must be eligible for a Full-Time Clinical Academic Appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The appointments are expected to start in September 2025 or a mutually agreed date.
Successful candidates will provide exemplary patient-centered care and participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto.
For applicants considered for the Clinician Teacher role, excellence will be demonstrated through teaching contributions, awards, pedagogical innovation, and curriculum development. For those considered for the Clinician in Quality & Innovation role, excellence will be demonstrated through advanced training, successful initiatives, innovations, and recognition at conferences.
Applicants must hold an MD degree, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in Geriatric Medicine, and have or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The estimated annual remuneration ranges from $300,000 to $350,000, depending on rank, qualifications, and experience.
