The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology is seeking two temporary salaried instructors for the Carpentry Apprenticeship. In this role, you will create a supportive learning environment, prepare lesson plans, and evaluate student progress. Ideal candidates will hold an Alberta Journeyperson Certificate and have significant experience in carpentry, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

The Opportunity
We're hiring 2 temporary salaried instructors for the Carpentry Apprenticeship!
The Wood Trades Team delivers training for students in Carpenter Apprenticeship. This is made up of 4 years of Jobsite training and study. The technical training portions are eight weeks in length, running 5 times per year, and take place at SAIT Main Campus.
As an instructor, you will create a supportive and innovative learning environment, utilizing existing curriculum resources and various instructional techniques to promote learning and personal development. In addition to creating teaching and learning plans, course maps, and assessments, you will provide ongoing support and guidance to learners, evaluate student progress and achievement, and participate in promotional activities such as SAIT’s Open House.
