The Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in guest accommodations and shared common room spaces. This role focuses on operational excellence, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness, ensuring all housekeeping tasks are completed to enhance the guest experience. The Head Housekeeper will ensure accountability for their own work and provide support to the team as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

• Daily Operations

Perform cleaning duties for guest rooms, common areas, and spa facilities, ensuring all spaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards.

• Follow established cleaning schedules and task lists to ensure timely preparation of guest accommodations.
• Ensure all housekeeping procedures align with Lightwater Cove’s wellness-focused environment and brand standards.
• Inventory and Supplies

Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and toiletries.

• Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas as needed.
• Note inventory needs and reorder to prevent shortages.
• Organizational Accountability

Keep track of completed tasks, room turnovers, and any issues.

• Report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Guest Experience Support

Ensure guest rooms and common areas are prepared to the high standard to enhance guest satisfaction.

• Handle specific guest requests related to housekeeping with professionalism and efficiency.
• Proactively identify and address issues that could impact the guest experience, such as cleanliness concerns or supply shortages.
• Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with the Lightwater Cove Team and other staff to ensure seamless operations.

• Provide input on improving housekeeping processes and guest services.
• Maintain clear communication with the team to ensure all operational needs are met.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality operations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and products.
• Ability to work independently and take accountability for assigned tasks.
• Good, clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina / ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Working Conditions :
