The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Medical Device Reprocessing, the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) performs duties related to the safe handling of surgical equipment. Responsibilities include retrieval, disassembly, decontamination, inspection, function testing, assembly, packaging, sterilization, handling, storage, and distribution of reprocessed hospital equipment, adhering to CSA standards, manufacturer’s instructions, policies, SOPs, and infection prevention guidelines.

Hours of Work

All shifts as per rotation (24/7 environment).

Your Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Recognized MDR Technician course required; applicants without the course may be considered if willing to enroll and complete within 18 months.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Previous sterile processing experience preferred.
  • MDR Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Operating Room and/or laparoscopy instrumentation/cidex OPA scope processing is an asset.
  • Responsible, dependable, proactive, with sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Competency in other languages is an asset.
