The What...

Being an Event Sales Manager at Splitsville, you will...

  1. Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships on behalf of Splitsville Entertainment with both new and existing guests.
  2. Effectively sell the meeting spaces, party rooms, food and beverage packages, entertainment packages; meet quarterly and yearly sales goals.
  3. Prospect new events and target new leads where possible; reach out to past clients for future booking.
  4. Arrange and confirm all event details with clients prior to the event; communicate information to all team members.
  5. Work with the event team to ensure all events run smoothly; connect with clients during events to offer help if needed.
  6. Follow up after each event with clients to obtain feedback, maintain rapport, and suggest future bookings with Splitsville.
  7. Meet with key internal stakeholders weekly to discuss weekly plans and targets.
  8. Maintain daily use of our in-house database to input all leads, track and follow up on all inquiries and communications with clients; track all marketing and promotional materials where necessary.
  9. Update and maintain content on our social media sites regularly within corporate standards and guidelines.
  10. Attend and facilitate offsite promotional events within the community to raise brand awareness and obtain leads for future event bookings.
  11. Provide an excellent experience for all clients and their guests - Create an atmosphere of positivity and fun!

To Be Successful You Will Have

  1. Previous experience in a sales customer service role is an asset.
  2. A desire to create fun events and take pride in their work; passionate about great guest experiences.
  3. Confidence and engagement.
  4. Motivation by targets.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Organization, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills.
  7. Creative problem-solving abilities.
  8. Social media skills.
  9. Comfortable working with booking quotas and usually able to achieve or exceed them.
  10. Knowledgeable with MS Office, Windows, and web-based applications.
  11. Involvement in community affairs, charities, clubs, etc.
  12. A valid driver's license or access to reliable transportation.
  13. Availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday events as needed.
