As Regional Sales Manager, you will manage and engage with independent retail distributor/dealership to facilitate and maximize the share and sales of company products in an assigned region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with management and sales staff to achieve Business Plan that sets specific marketing goals and objectives for each distributorship/dealer in assigned region.
Work with distributor/dealer sales management on sales pipeline, account development plans, awareness and participation in assigned region.
Act as primary liaison/contact between distributorship/dealer and Company, responsible for communications on marketing programs, relationship issues, changes in corporate positions and/or policy.
Make personal visits to each distributorship/dealer to enhance product knowledge, manage marketing objectives, conduct end user/customer visits, and communicate corporately on behalf of the Company.
While not traveling, maintain continual contact with each distributorship/dealer through telephone, teams’ meetings, e-mail, and other means of communication for product sales promotion, problem resolution, marketing needs, and goal achievement status.
Participate in product training activities both at the factory and dealer locations, prospect/customer visits to the factory, and other promotional events as directed.
Daily use of Salesforce CRM to record business activity.
Ability to become technically proficient on all KION equipment, including new products for demonstration purposes.
Ability to work closely with the internal KION support staff to help meet customers’ requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or related field preferred; equivalent experience is accepted.
Sales experience in the industrial truck industry or related equipment sales preferred.
Experience with territory management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
