The Senior Manager, Planning (Potash) is responsible and accountable for the planning and execution effectiveness of balancing demand and supply, as well as achieving inventory targets across all regions for phosphates products. This role reports to the VP of Supply Chain and operates at a senior level within the supply planning and execution team, driving decision-making aligned with business priorities. The Senior Planning Manager collaborates with key stakeholders in Product Management, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to develop and implement effective supply plans. They play a key leadership role in the IBP/S&OP process and are accountable for the 'Plan to Ship' process across the Potash Business. The role focuses on optimizing Service, Cost, and Inventory, ensuring operational planning and execution align with the supply chain strategy and policies. Support to the Supply Planning Manager in developing and streamlining regional and plant-level S&OPs and ensuring connectivity to upstream and downstream processes is also essential. Additionally, the Senior Planning Manager provides support to Commercial and Operations on business growth, capacity assessment, inventory requirements, and opportunities for improved profitability and cost control. The individual will lead the supply planning team and drive alignment with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Product Management, Operations, Transportation, Warehousing, Analytics, and Finance.
What will you do?
Supply Planning
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Logistics and Supply planners, replenishment planners, and logistics and distribution planners.
- Manage the Plan-to-Ship process of supply chain orchestration.
- Develop and maintain service, inventory, and cost metrics for the Plan-to-Ship process.
- Lead the Phosphates Supply and Integrated Reviews of the S&OP Process.
- Ensure the delivery of Tactical S&OP reviews and Available to Supply reports weekly.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities within the S&OP planning and execution process for the team.
- Hold managers and planners accountable for their supply planning and execution deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize the S&OP plan.
- Address trade-offs, proactively identify risks, and lead risk mitigation efforts.
- Manage production and transportation requirements in collaboration with operations and transportation teams to meet customer requirements and inventory targets.
- Create Supply and Integrated review minutes, communicate key conclusions, and follow up on actions.
Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams and support Supply Chain Leadership in developing the Annual Operating Plan.
- Continuously improve supply planning and execution effectiveness through stakeholder collaboration.
People Leadership
- Maintain team awareness and engagement to ensure timely decision-making within the process.
- Identify talent gaps and lead the development of planning-related training.

What do you need for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Customer Service, or Supply Chain consulting.
- Experience leading S&OP and supply chain operations required.
- Proven ability to build strong team collaboration across supply planning functions.
- Experience managing complex projects with solid project management skills.
- Ability to translate commercial requirements into operational actions, including trade-off analysis.
- Experience working in a global environment and effective communication at management levels.
- Experience with systems supporting Plan-to-Ship processes required.
- Preferred: experience with data diagnostics, modeling, visualization, and tools like SAP-ERP, SAP-IBP, and Business Objects.
