Your Contribution to Our Growth

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative Market Operations team! This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals in a rapidly expanding industry at the forefront of digital finance. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of our Market Operations services, ensuring top-tier quality and maintaining the highest standards of performance and reliability.

As part of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, architecting, implementing, testing, documenting, and monitoring our services while applying industry best practices. You'll primarily be working on Market Operations functionality including Liquidity Provider integrations, Price, Order Matching Engine, Execution Management, etc. You'll work in an agile environment, where collaboration and adaptability are key. Your expertise will help drive our commitment to excellence and innovation, ensuring that we deliver secure and scalable solutions to our clients.

In order to be successful in this role, we’re seeking a strong professional background in the financial, fintech, crypto industry. If you’ve worked on similar projects we’d love to hear from you! Please note that this is a full-time, permanent, hybrid role out of our Downtown Toronto office.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, test and maintain a variety of Market Operations functionality including Liquidity Provider integration, Price, Order Matching, Order Routing, and Execution Management.
• Deliver well tested, fault tolerant, production ready solutions.
• Contribute to decision making on solution trade-offs for scalability and performance options.
• Document procedures for our technical and business operations teams.
• Collaborate with other development teams to ensure the Market Operations functionality is successfully integrated into the business platform.
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure delivered functionality is included in the platform testing.
• Integrate with CI infrastructure for continuous build and test cycles.
• Be part of the agile team; help thoroughly define, plan and test each task that is part of the sprint.
• Mentor junior developers on the team and lead implementation of large complexity features.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and team productivity.

We’d Love to See

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience with SDLC, CI/CD practices and tools.
• Strong knowledge and experience with object-oriented design, databases, networks, and API design.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Kafka, Java, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge and experience with AWS services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently with a collaboration-focused mindset.
• Comfortable working with and learning existing codebases.
