Job description

Rose Scale Ltd. is currently looking for a full time Repair / Calibration Technician. The ideal candidate will perform or assist with set up, installation, repair and maintenance of a variety of scales and related products. Travel within the eastern Ontario region on a daily basis is required; and return daily. Must be able to lead by example.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot customer issues.
  • Maintain a clean/presentable appearance.
  • Infield sales/parts and service.
  • Ability to prepare paperwork – work orders, certificates.
  • Adhere to workplace safety – shop and field requirements.
  • Work in an organized, tidy fashion.
  • Maintain personal and company-owned tools.
Required Skills
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in a technical service industry.
  • Valid G license.
  • Mechanical and basic electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to operate general electrical repair and test equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to retain information.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • MUST have a clean driver's abstract.
Bonus Experience
  • DZ License.
  • Basic welding experience.
  • Mechanical strengths.
  • High School Diploma and Post Secondary in Technical Training.
Work Environment

We offer a four-day work week, bonus pay, overtime pay, and paid time off. Starting wage between $40,000.00 to $50,000.00.

Physical / Personal Requirements
  • Fit and able to work with test weights, rigging, etc.
  • Able to work in hot/cold/wet environments.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of attendance.
  • Clean driving and criminal record.
  • Able to work 8+ hours/day per week.
  • Work independently or as a team.
  • Good communicator with peers and customers.
  • Clean, professional appearance.
