Senior Civil Engineer, Airport - On Site

As part of the Engineering Services group, our Airports team offers comprehensive planning and engineering services for airport and heliport infrastructure projects globally.

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer, Airports, to join our expanding team for one of Canada's most significant airport projects of the decade.

This position is based in Toronto, ON, and requires full-time onsite presence. Fly-in-Fly-out options from Ottawa or Montréal may be available.

Your Role:

• Assist the Airside Infrastructure Manager in leading and managing team efforts, including task prioritization and workload management.
• Oversee design, compliance reviews, and inspections to ensure adherence to aviation codes, standards, and client specifications, including the Airport Construction Code.
• Identify safety risks proactively and advocate for their resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
• Review and improve processes and workflows for efficiency and team performance.
• Coordinate SME assessments, reviews, and updates of standards and specifications.
• Represent the team in meetings, providing technical expertise as needed.
• Mentor and support the career development of team members.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 15 years in design, construction, and commissioning of major civil infrastructure projects, including airports.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing multiple civil engineering disciplines.
• Deep knowledge of Canadian aviation codes and standards.
• Familiarity with contract management and construction law.
• Experience with asset management and restoration programming.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
