Your Opportunity
Stantec’s Alberta Environmental Services group is currently seeking an Environmental Planner to work within our Assessment, Permitting and Compliance Team.
We are relationship builders who have established excellent working relationships with regulators and clients in western Canada. Our regulatory knowledge, environmental assessment experience and scientific expertise allow us to help our clients develop the most effective and innovative approach to meeting their regulatory and permitting needs. In this position you will be exposed to an exciting array of projects in various stages of their lifecycle including permitting, approval requirements, and construction and post-construction support. Typical projects include small to large-scale provincial and federal pipelines, oil and gas facilities, and power-related projects (including renewables) as well as urban development projects. We are always growing as we continue to adapt to the changing environment in which we work and are excited to work on a number of exciting projects.

Your Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences or in Environmental Studies.
Field identification skills for wetland assessments and/or wildlife identification skills. Other biophysical field skills considered an asset.
Proficient with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Minimum of five (5) years of experience.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include remote work and exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
