Job Title: Staff Nurse

The Staff Nurse is a registered professional nurse in Massachusetts responsible for planning and delivering patient care according to the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The nurse demonstrates initiative, clinical skills, and knowledge in caring for patients with complex needs. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with direct accountability to a nurse manager or supervisor. The role promotes the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in a best-practice environment. Floating duties include med/surg units and the ED observation area.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Current Massachusetts RN licensure required
• Preferred: 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• BLS certification required
• Adherence to I C.A.R.E. standards
• Evidence of basic analytical thinking for patient care
• Strong observational, prioritization, and stress management skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to apply hospital standards, teamwork, respect, and time management
