As a Commercial Lines Underwriter with SRIM, you will:
  • Review and apply pricing, terms, and conditions to new and renewal business.
  • Maintain and grow the existing book of business.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with retail brokers, encouraging additional submissions.
  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to your Team Lead.
  • Attend broker meetings, conventions, and functions to develop broker relationships.
  • Participate in discussions with markets and provide commentary on specific programs.
  • Discuss new product development opportunities.
What you bring to the team:

  • Attention to detail for handling quotations accurately.

  • Level 1 - General Insurance license (or ability to obtain it).
  • Desirable: CAIB, CIP, CRM, FCIP, or working towards a designation.
  • 5+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience; MGA experience is a plus.
