What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the VP, Advanced Analytics and AI, the Sr. Director is responsible for Advanced Analytics delivery and support of AI Enablement in CIBC. This role is designed to accelerate the adoption of advanced analytics within CIBC by building on key data and analytics relationships, creating new ones with infrastructure and business groups and external vendors as well as leading our external AI research partnerships.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Drive data and analytics strategy : Support the roll-out of enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy

  • Advanced Analytics use case delivery : Lead and execute against our annual KPIs by delivering advanced analytics driven business solutions with our business partners.

  • External Research Partnerships: Be responsible of our external research partnerships, participate in relevant forums, encourage and lead project participation and bring the knowledge back in a shareable format.

  • Provide Leadership : Provide strong leadership and effective engagement of team members to develop a high performing team by aligning goals with strategic enterprise priorities, building capabilities, modeling CIBC Purpose and core values, and fostering equity.

  • Project Efficiency Optimization: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Lead the team to create, validate and monitor both traditional AI/ML and GenAI based solutions that deal with both structured and unstructured data sets.
