Job Summary:

The Patient Accounts (Customer Services) Representative supports reducing Accounts Receivables in the Patient Financial Services department. Responsibilities include assisting patients with bills, handling correspondence, billing issues, denials, credits, and trend monitoring. Under limited supervision, determines liability, works with patients for financial assistance, and processes Medicaid and other financial aid applications.

Essential Functions:

• Maximize collection of balances due and account resolution, meeting quality and productivity goals.
• Facilitate account resolution by identifying and correcting billing errors, denials, and reimbursement issues efficiently.
• Research and resolve delays in payment or account resolution, and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate across teams and departments for effective revenue cycle management.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred (please indicate on application/resume)
• 1-2 years healthcare insurance billing or account follow-up experience
• Knowledge of Patient Accounting systems
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Preferred:

• Experience with Medicaid and Charity Care

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-time
• Rotating schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm or 8am-4pm; Tuesday-Saturday 10:30am-6:30pm (schedule may change based on needs)
• Rotating holidays required
• Hybrid schedule possible at some facilities (TBD)
