We are currently seeking 5 Temporary Summer Students to join our Operations Team at our Goderich Evaporation Plant in Goderich, Ontario. Employment will be between May 5 to September 5, 2025. Students must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary education institution. Dates may vary based on school schedules.

The Goderich Evaporation Plant is proud to be one of Goderich’s first employers, tracing back to 1867. Currently the site employs 90 people, producing an annual capacity of 140,000 tons of evaporated food grade, agricultural, pool and water-softening salt, and additionally packages 100,000 tons of rock salt, serving customers throughout the Ontario, Quebec and Northern-Central United States regions.

How will you contribute to the team?

• General labour (i.e. cleaning, painting and janitorial duties)
• Operate packaging equipment
• Forklift and other heavy equipment operation
• Loading bulk trucks
• Sanitation related inspections and cleaning
• Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
• Varied Shifts and hours will be required, Days, Afternoons, Midnights.

You bring to the role:

• Minimum High School graduate by June 2025 and must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary education institution. Proof of enrollment will be verified prior to an offer.
• Previous manufacturing/industrial equipment operation and material handling equipment operation is preferred
• Previous forklift experience is preferred
• Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
• Strong attention to detail
