Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Manager, Banquets who is passionate about creating a positive and empowering employee experience. This role is fully responsible for fostering a strong team culture through employee engagement, training, and development. The ideal candidate will serve as a hands-on leader, ensuring our banquet team feels supported, heard, and inspired to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead by example and provide daily support to banquet staff, acting as a visible and accessible leader on the floor.
  • Drive employee engagement by fostering a positive work environment and creating opportunities for team recognition and growth.
  • Oversee the training and onboarding of all banquet team members, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Actively manage employee relations, addressing concerns with professionalism, empathy, and fairness.
  • Ensure team members have the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager and other departments to ensure smooth event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Promote open communication, teamwork, and a culture of accountability.
  • Monitor performance, provide ongoing feedback, and support team development and advancement.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate and assist in scheduling based on business needs.

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience in banquet, hospitality, or food & beverage leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of employee engagement and leadership principles
  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop a diverse team
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with professionalism and poise
