Sr. Project Manager, Transportation

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation to join our Transportation Practice in the Greater Toronto Area! This role follows a hybrid work model.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

As a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation for provincial, municipal, transit, and aviation clients, you will provide effective and efficient management of day-to-day operations within the transportation team.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

1. Maintain a close working relationship with all discipline leads, department heads, other project managers, project controls staff, and construction personnel.
2. Maintain a high level of technical quality on the projects.
3. Mentor project staff and participate in the hiring process.
4. Serve as a functional manager for an engineering team, responsible for career development and performance reviews.

What you will bring to our firm:

1. 12 years of experience.
2. P.Eng. designation required.
3. A university degree in civil engineering or related degree.
4. Familiarity with roadway design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Inroads, ORD).
5. Technical excellence in civil & highway design.
6. Familiarity with contract documents.
7. Demonstrated experience in successful project execution.
8. A thorough understanding of the requirements and complexities of the design and management of multi-disciplinary projects, such as utility coordination, construction staging, traffic management, public consultation, external agency approvals, communication and liaison, coordination of sub-consultants and design groups, schedule and budget control, quality control, construction administration, and claims resolution.

What we prefer you bring:

1. Experience in delivery of Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) projects is an asset.
2. Experience in BRT, LRT including intermodal transit facilities is an asset.
3. Familiarity and experience with various delivery models and P3 projects is an asset.
