A DAY IN THE LIFE
You will utilize your technical skills to perform scheduled maintenance, fault analysis, troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade repairs on wind turbines. The role involves working at heights and in confined spaces, often in varying weather conditions. The site near Medicine Hat, Alberta, has 98 V136 Mk 3B 3.6 MW turbines. Standard shifts are five days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day. You will participate in an on-call rotation during weekends and off-hours, with potential overtime. About 15% of your time may include travel to other sites. Typically, technicians work in teams of 2–3 and climb 1–2 turbines daily.

✓ You have a safety-focused mindset and a positive attitude, contributing to teamwork, motivation, and initiative in daily tasks.

✓ You can identify solutions through process of elimination.
✓ You have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of wind industry experience or relevant certifications, or a transferable background in agricultural, mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work.
