Job Title: Quality Engineer

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a passion for precision? Join our team at a well-established, industry-leading manufacturer of high-performance plastic components serving the aerospace and high-spec commercial industries. We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to help us maintain our rigorous AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications and uphold our reputation for delivering high-quality, precision-engineered products.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us :

We are at the forefront of the aerospace and commercial industries, specializing in precision-machined plastic components. As part of our quality team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of quality while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do :
  1. Program and operate the Keyence LM-X100T Multisensor Measurement System for dimensional inspection of machined plastic parts, including flatness, profile, parallelism, and true position.
  2. Interpret mechanical drawings and apply GD&T principles to measurement routines and data analysis.
  3. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations using tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams to resolve nonconformances and identify corrective actions.
  4. Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and perform in-process inspections to ensure product compliance with both internal and customer specifications.
  5. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address and resolve quality issues effectively.
  6. Maintain documentation in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, including control plans, inspection reports, and change control.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and customer service teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality issues.
What We’re Looking For :
  1. 3-5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment (aerospace plastics preferred).
  2. Hands-on experience with Keyence LM-X100T Multisensor Measurement System is required; experience with 3D Optical Profilometry is a plus.
  3. Strong knowledge of interpreting blueprints, applying GD&T, and understanding aerospace dimensional tolerances.
  4. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 FAI requirements.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for documentation and reporting.
  6. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
Preferred Tools & Skills :
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA processes
  • Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation
Questions to Consider :
  • Do you have experience working with compression molding or related manufacturing processes?
  • Have you conducted root cause analysis (RCA)? What tools did you use, and can you share an example?
  • What’s your experience with process validation and CAPA?
  • Have you worked with non-conformance reports (NCRs), and how did you manage them?
  • Have you worked in a regulated industry like aerospace or medical devices, and which standards did you follow (e.g., AS9100, ISO 13485, FDA QSR)?
