We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Hilson Avenue Public School.
Hilson Avenue P.S. is a child-centered learning environment emphasizing academic progress, social development, and positive attitudes towards self and others. Our community values teamwork, leadership, and risk-taking to prepare students for the future. Our dedicated staff has a wide range of experience, with many holding additional qualifications in areas such as Special Education, ESL, FSL, Reading, and Computers in Education. Their efforts extend beyond the classroom to support our school community.

Eligibility List
All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings if qualified. External applicants may also apply if they meet the qualifications. Our order of consideration for Elementary LTOs is as follows: 1) current elementary occasional teachers, followed by 2) qualified external applicants.
Required Qualifications
OCT Divisional Qualifications: Junior
OCT Additional Qualifications: FSL Part 1
Additional assets include previous experience with classroom management and Phys Ed teaching.
