Job Description: Jr. Sous Chef

What will be your daily pursuit?: Your daily pursuit is preparing flavorful dishes that fuel our guests' adventures, using fresh, local ingredients to bring a taste of the region to every plate.

What will your compensation be?: The starting salary for this position is $23.50.

What will you do in this job?: A Jr. Sous Chef supervises all food preparation within their section and coordinates the work of Cooks. Responsibilities include supervising training, researching and implementing new policies, reporting maintenance needs, supervising and participating in food prep, checking food quality, supervising food presentation, storing food safely, ensuring guest requests are met, creating attractive displays, promoting teamwork, ensuring safety, checking orders, and assisting in staff development.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?: A Journeymen's Red Seal or equivalent is preferred. You should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in high-volume or banquet kitchens. Experience in remote camp settings or ski resorts is a plus. Must be an effective leader, manager, trainer, and communicator. Comfortable with a la carte and banquet service, creative, able to work outdoors in all weather, and meet grooming standards. A criminal record check is required.
