What You'll Do

We are looking for a Lead Producer to join us on the Fortnite Core Tech team. In this position, you will partner with the broader Fortnite org to help drive stability, performance, and engine development. Our team of producers focuses on platform, rendering, performance, server, game architectures, and our build pipeline. We’re looking for individuals who excel in multitasking, thrive in chaos, have great communication skills, and are comfortable managing roadmaps and schedules of R&D initiatives. Ideal candidates have experience in game development or hardware frameworks and have directly worked with programmers and the systems they develop.

In this role, you will

  • Partner with the FNTech programming Director to define strategies and initiatives for the vertical. Develop a roadmap feedback loop for the vertical which can speak to health, risk, progress, and roll that up to the broader org.
  • Help scale the team org and operations to support the broader Metaverse vision.
  • Directly manage the Tech-Platform and Tech-Perf Prod Lead, their production org, and their initiatives. Responsible for individual growth plans and progress, ensuring quality standards for each release, and achieving desired outcomes for initiatives.
  • Own complex initiatives that require senior direction, such as Lighthouse and UEFN.
  • Operate approximately 50% at a high level and 50% in the details managing technical initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Deep experience working with programmers and on technical projects.
  • Ability to drive high-level goals / vision and also dig into technical details. Manage outcomes for the vertical and directly own some initiatives.
  • Understanding of how complex systems work, what they do, and why. Curiosity about system functionalities.
  • Strong skills in organizing unstructured work and managing multiple needs.
  • Experience with game engines, platforms, rendering, tools, backend systems is highly desired.
  • Deep experience managing large team roadmaps, rallying teams around common goals.
  • Experience in managing and growing team organizations to scale for demand.
  • Proven ability to work with strong personalities and still achieve results.
