Job description

Store - SAULT STE MARIE, ON

Lead and support inventory management, merchandising standards, and store maintenance. Ensure the store is well merchandised, in-stock, and provides a positive shopping experience. Assist customers in locating products and offer friendly service.

Major Activities
  1. Assist Store Manager in ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  2. Manage truck processes, lead teams to meet standards, and achieve KPIs.
  3. Support planogram (POG) processes to standard.
  4. Support AD set processes.
  5. Manage shrink and safety programs.
  6. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  7. Maintain seasonal sets and feature spaces according to visual merchandising standards.
  8. Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching, training, and performance management of team members; support talent development and self-improvement.
  9. Interact respectfully with others, promote a positive image, and serve as a role model.
  10. Acknowledge customers, assist in locating products, and provide solutions.
  11. Support Omni-channel processes.
  12. Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.

Preferred Certifications or Skills
  • Retail merchandising and customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Move throughout the store.
  • Bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
  • Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
Work Environment
  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas; some outdoor work and non-climate-controlled stock rooms; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
