Job Summary

Under supervision, perform a variety of tasks throughout the College such as:

  • Moving furniture, supplies, and clean-up as required.
  • Performing physical tasks such as digging, placing concrete, grounds clean-up, etc.
  • Assisting Facilities Staff with the maintenance of grounds and buildings.
  • Cutting lawns, trimming, and weed control.
  • Planting and maintaining flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
  • Operating various grounds and maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Carrying a two-way radio.
  • Contributing to and supporting the College's vision, mission, and goals, and supporting learners' needs.
  • Promoting a positive work atmosphere and communicating professionally with students and colleagues.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the Facilities Services Manager or Designate.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Level 1 Occupational First Aid ticket (if required).
  • Ability to follow directions and work well under supervision.
  • Knowledge of grounds and maintenance tasks is an asset.
  • Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to interact well with others.
