Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Finance Department of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) is a global organization with a local presence. Our core mission in the Americas involves delivering accurate financial reports, supporting Business Units, Service Units, and General Management with financial and strategic guidance, scrutinizing business plans, and advising on the efficient use of capital, liquidity, and funding resources. The department performs independent certification of financial aggregates and creates daily P&L explanations on market activities. We also oversee cross-business projects in financial and regulatory areas, ensuring compliance with accounting, prudential, and tax norms.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

You will support the team in preparing various Department of Commerce reports in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing control checks to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery of regulatory reports for the Department of Commerce and U.S. banking authorities.
  2. Conducting routine data quality checks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  3. Monitoring data feeds, investigating discrepancies, and following up on missing or incomplete files.
  4. Reconciliation of financial data according to U.S. GAAP standards.
  5. Reviewing and validating key data attributes for new clients and accounts.
  6. Identifying and correcting anomalies in financial records.
  7. Analyzing and resolving referential data issues impacting reporting.
  8. Producing daily internal reports on asset positions across the Americas.
  9. Supporting the preparation of regulatory submissions.
  10. Assisting in audits, reviews, and examinations.
  11. Performing transaction-level testing within the control framework.
  12. Executing data reconciliations and validation efforts.
  13. Using tools like Power BI and Alteryx to improve reporting and automation.
  14. Participating in data quality assessments and process improvements.
  15. Maintaining collaboration with Finance, IT, and data stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  16. Ensuring documentation and procedures are current and compliant.

Required Profile:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience in banking, finance, or regulatory reporting.
  • Understanding of banking products and industry practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with large data sets.
  • Experience with automation tools like Alteryx is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Attention to data accuracy and discrepancy identification.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and U.S. banking regulations is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.

Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English is required for collaboration with U.S. colleagues.
