THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

requires the following TEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL

JORDAN'S PRINCIPLE

SCHOOL: Opeongo High School, Douglas

FTE: 100% (35 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum two-year community college diploma in the social services field (e.g., DSW, CYW, SSW), or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the Board. (Transcripts may be requested to support relevant course detail.)

Applicants must have a proven ability and willingness to perform the essential duties of an Educational Support Personnel, including toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting, transferring, positioning, and providing assistance with mobility.

Familiarity with Indigenous culture is considered an asset.

Other relevant training that would be an asset includes:

  • Behaviour Management Systems (BMS)
  • Lifting training
  • WHMIS certification
  • Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS)
  • Prior experience using computer supports and adaptive / assistive technology is an asset
TERM:

May 20, 2025 to June 27, 2025 (subject to funding or return of incumbent)

Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the Collective Agreement for the Educational Support Personnel and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
