Position Overview
The Sr. Accountant is responsible for controlling and analyzing the asset, liability, and expense accounts to ensure that proper expenses are reported and to ensure that these accounts are properly reflected on the Company's books and records. This position is also responsible for the preparation and maintenance of monthly entries and account analyses of the more complex accounting areas and certain financial and managerial reporting. Please note this is an 18-month contract role.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Month End Close
• Complete journal entries for all areas assigned, as required, within the close calendar deadlines.
• Analyze results for all areas assigned to identify issues and contribute to a timely and appropriate resolution.
• Complete assigned month-end schedules and month-end reporting. - Account Analysis
• Manage the weekly revenue forecast reporting.
• Analyze results for all areas assigned creating detailed analysis of week-over-week results.
• Research and analyze monthly financial statement variances.
• Additional reporting and data analysis as required. - Kronos Management
• Manage the schedule roster of employees.
• Partner with field staff to ensure timely and accurate hourly time submissions.
• Complete the weekly closing and reconciliation of approved timecards.
• Complete the reporting of timecards to the payroll system UltiPro.
• Prepare the job cost reporting on payroll expenses. - Account Support
• Perform other duties as assigned from the Accounting Department.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a BS/BS in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in an accounting department.
- Completion or current enrollment in CPA program.
- Ability to handle multiple activities to accomplish a goal while using logic to solve problems.
- High level of detail and accuracy when responding to requests as well as financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of all accounting functions and related principles (including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger).
- Intermediate level working knowledge of Excel.
- Understanding of analysis and reporting with ability to apply it to the business.
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions based on accounting standards.

Salary Pay Range: $74,000.00 - $85,000.00 Plus Incentives.
The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
Work Environment
Office
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
