About Us

We’re not your average recruitment firm. Hughes Collective is a bold, people-first consultancy changing how organizations grow, through strategic hiring, standout branding, and razor-sharp business insights. We blend recruitment, employer branding, marketing, HR, succession planning, and advisory services into one agile, powerhouse collective.

If you thrive on variety, bring creative energy to everything you touch, and believe people and storytelling are the heartbeat of a brand—you’ll feel right at home here. At Hughes Collective, we don’t follow the status quo—we rewrite it!

The Opportunity

We’re hiring an Industrial & Trades Recruitment Associate to support our Industrial & Trades portfolio—someone with a positive mindset, strong sense of pace, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-accountability environment. You build trust quickly with tradespeople, contractors, project managers, and clients across mining and heavy industrial settings—and you understand that exceptional service starts with knowing the role, the jobsite, and most importantly, the people behind the work.

You’re just as comfortable lacing up your work boots to walk a job site as you are behind the scenes, providing structure and support to keep things running smoothly. You’ll work closely with our team to help move projects forward—coordinating interviews, screening and presenting talent, maintaining organized pipelines, and contributing to client updates that reflect care, accuracy, and a strong understanding of what each role requires.

This is a dual-impact role that blends recruitment delivery with administrative and systems excellence. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational precision for the Industrial & Trades team—managing tools like our ATS, CRM, and candidate tracking systems with meticulous attention to detail. Every interaction, update, and data point you handle will help our team deliver with consistency, confidence, and care.

You thrive in a client-facing environment, where communication is constant and clarity is everything. Whether it’s booking and conducting prescreens, conducting interviews, leading reference checks, preparing onboarding details, or sending updates on open roles and projects, you keep clients and our team informed and supported at every stage.

You’re organized, responsive, and relentless about follow-through. You know that even the best hiring strategy falls apart without strong coordination behind it—and that’s where you shine. You’ll gain mentorship from our team and play a key role in one of our most active and fast-growing portfolios.

This role is a hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with regular in-person engagement. Expect to be on-site with clients, in offices, or at job sites 1–3 days per week—primarily in the Saskatoon area, with occasional travel across Western Canada. The rest of your time can be spent working remotely or from our Saskatoon based office. Mileage is reimbursed.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate Recruitment Delivery Across Industrial & Trades Portfolio

  • Support recruitment projects from end to end—writing job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and keeping the process smooth and efficient. You’ll ensure every step reflects the client's expectations and brand while maintaining momentum across multiple searches, primarily in our Industrial and Trades portfolio.

Source Talent and Build Trusted Candidate Relationships

  • Actively source skilled trades and industrial talent using a mix of platforms, referrals, and outreach. You’ll take the time to understand each candidate’s goals and strengths—building lasting relationships with talent pools we can call on quickly and confidently.

Keep Talent Pipelines Ready to Deploy

  • Maintain well-organized, engaged pipelines by tracking candidate availability, licenses, certifications, and jobsite readiness. You’ll ensure we’re always prepared to respond to new projects with aligned, work-ready talent.

Ensure Operational Accuracy Behind the Scenes

  • Manage candidate and client records, job data, and communications across our ATS, CRM, and internal systems—primarily within the Industrial & Trades portfolio. Your commitment to accuracy ensures our operations stay clean, compliant, and ready to scale.

Coordinate Project Execution and Maintain Momentum

  • Monitor progress on open roles, align tasks across the team, and provide frequent project updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Your coordination helps prevent delays, keeps communication clear, and ensures no detail gets overlooked.

Support Seamless Client Engagement

  • Participate in client intake meetings and site visits to better understand each role, team, and jobsite environment. You’ll help organize onboarding, start dates, and follow-ups—supporting strong client relationships and long-term placement success.

Contribute to a High-Performance, Collaborative Team

  • Work closely with our team to deliver polished, high-value service. Whether you’re brainstorming how to reach a new talent pool or stepping in with the team to make a career or networking event a smashing hit, you bring energy, accountability, collaboration, and a relationship-first mindset to everything you do.
