Product Disruptions Analyst (Kingston or Burlington)

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.

With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Product Disruptions Analyst to support our Clinical Services team in the Kingston or Burlington office.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Product Disruptions Analyst will work across both the product disruptions and data team to assist our hospitals source and approve appropriate substitute products when disruptions occur. Working with our vendors and distributors to source appropriate substitute products, run usage reports, get clinical approval and completing paperwork to put the substitute product into use or to action recalls / alerts to our sites. Ensure accuracy and timely input of data into Mohawk Medbuy’s centralized master data repository in SAP for the region, which could include material and vendor masters, contracts, info records, source lists and USL requests, while following established policies and procedures. Deliver high quality results to meet or exceed customer expectations in daily work and on project deadlines. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving data issues, escalating as necessary. Going beyond routine questioning to find underlying causes of problems or discrepancies to identify and recommend sound solutions. The Data Analyst/Product Disruptions Associate is responsible to analyze processes and procedures to identify ideas for improvements or automation. The Data Analyst/Product Disruptions Associate will supply timely, professional and effective communication to all customers. Will be responsible to generate, analyze and run reports, as needed, to ensure accurate output to customers.

Education, Training, and Experience

Mandatory

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in business administration or inventory/operations management.
  • 1 to 2 years in related Inventory Management or supply chain experience

Preferred

  • Previous experience in healthcare setting, preferably hospital
  • Previous experience working in procurement or sourcing of supplies
  • Previous use of SAP system

Travel

  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
  • Typical open office environment, occasional public transit/personal vehicle
