Work Location

Hybrid or full-time in studio. Hybrid is defined as 3 days in Vancouver Studio: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Position Overview

Our client, a leading game studio, is seeking an inspiring, highly motivated Environment Artist. In this position, you will collaborate with the Environment Art Team, Level Art Team, and other departments to realize the artistic vision set by art direction.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Environment Art within video games, with at least one shipped title.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create 3D assets, high-quality models & sculpts, textures, and surfaces. Fix bugs and polish in-game assets.
  • Model, sculpt, and texture environmental assets and surfaces.
  • Work comfortably with organic and hard surface asset creation.
  • Proficient with Maya or other 3D software, ZBrush, Substance Painter or Mixer, and Photoshop.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to all phases of the production process within the Environment Art team.
  • Actively accept feedback from the environment art lead and art director.
  • Support OS reviewers/managers and external artists as needed.
  • Work effectively under deadlines; be self-motivated and collaborative.
