Build Nova Scotia is recruiting an Engineering Summer Student position which will report to the Project Manager, Healthcare Infrastructure. Working closely with team members from across multiple divisions, the Engineering Summer Student will gain practical hands-on experience and knowledge of working in a dynamic project-based environment focused on healthcare infrastructure development.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a full-time engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution in the fall 2025.
Candidates should possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, display strong organizational and analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a significant asset.
Working Conditions:
Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day.
Work is generally conducted in a professional office environment with occasional site visits.
Additional Information:
This opportunity will start as soon as possible with an end date of August 29, 2025.
The hourly rate of pay varies depending on educational level.

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Project Manager, Healthcare Infrastructure, the Engineering Summer Student will be responsible for the following accountabilities:
· Supports in achieving the goals of the healthcare infrastructure team.
· Communicates regularly with project managers and other team members to maintain positive working relationships.
· Monitors, tracks and communicates project updates as requested.
· Closely reviews assigned work and provides ideas and solutions for ongoing projects.
· Gains increased experience and exposure to a diverse range of engineering and healthcare infrastructure projects.
· Works with a high attention to detail on assigned tasks and reports progress back to key leaders within the department.
· Other duties as assigned.
