About the Role

The OGC Compliance & Ethics Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative and research support to the General Counsel’s Office, while assisting the team with the procedural and operational aspects of the insider list program. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team with the file review program
  • Aiding the team with the secondment project and associated ethics wall memorandums
  • Assisting the team with the administrative and procedural aspects of the bar admissions program
  • Assisting with the renewals process for the practising certificates, where necessary
  • Providing administrative support to the OGC Supervisor – Compliance & Ethics and the Senior Compliance & Conflicts Analyst, including meeting and video conference arrangements, Chrome River expense reports, and other duties

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with attorneys, management, support staff, and outside contacts
  • Exhibit an advanced ability to perceive and analyse problems, and develop alternative strategies to solve them
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills

And have:

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Relevant experience in a law firm, preferably
