Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards, cleanroom protocols (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc. allowed), and use of PPE (personal protective equipment) such as safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.

Job Description

Summary:

Safely manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules.

Essential Functions:

  1. Process and manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders.
  2. Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for production.
  3. Clean processing equipment and rooms following SOPs and GMP guidelines.
  4. Assist and train Processing Technologist I.
  5. Troubleshoot equipment based on training.
  6. Provide feedback and suggest process improvements.
  7. Ensure product quality meets standards of Patheon, clients, and regulatory agencies (e.g., HPFBI, FDA, EMEA).
  8. Follow EHS and GMP requirements.
  9. Maintain a safe working environment and report hazards.
  10. Perform rotating or alternating shift work.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in powder blending/granulation, tablet compression, or coating, with exposure to dispensing, liquids/semisolids, and tablet printing manufacturing.

Equivalency: Equivalent education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to maintain records, follow instructions with attention to detail, lift up to 40 lbs., work independently and in a team, knowledge of GMP and SOPs, safety standards, mechanical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and fluent in English.

Standards and Expectations:

Adhere to EHS policies, work collaboratively, maintain a clean workspace, engage in continuous improvement, and communicate proactively about risks and progress.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for prolonged periods, manipulate weights up to 40 lbs., operate equipment, and use PPE such as safety glasses, shoes, gloves, hair nets, etc.
