Job description

The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group), is Alberta’s most experienced and most trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. As Alberta’s leader in new home warranty products and services for 50 years, we continue to raise the bar to meet the needs of homeowners and our Builder Members.

This position resides with The Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and works alongside The New Home Warranty Insurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC), the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI), and Dweller Home Services.

Accountable for :

The People & Culture Administrator will be responsible for providing support to the People & Culture department. You will lead a project to ensure all positions in the organization have up-to-date job descriptions. You will gain exposure to our talent acquisition process, benefits, and occupational health and safety programs.

Term : May 20, 2025 to August 22, 2025

Working hours : 8 : 30 am – 4 : 30 pm (35 hours / week)

Wage : $18 / hour

Responsibilities :

The primary responsibilities of the People & Culture Administrator are :

  • Develop a project plan to ensure all employees in the organization have up-to-date job descriptions
  • Meet with employees to understand their positions in the organization
  • Write new or update existing job descriptions and job postings
  • Assist with various P&C initiatives including our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, and job hazard assessment education
  • Identify areas in which AI could be utilized within the P&C department
  • Scan, upload, and organize employee files into the HRIS as required

Qualifications and skills :

  • Must be between the ages of 16 and 30 as this position is partially funded by the Canada Summer Student grant program
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program in Human Resources or Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources, and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term. Candidates must be at least in the 2nd year of their program.
  • Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for a 14-week full-time work-term
  • Previous work experience in an administrative capacity, office setting, and / or Human Resources would be considered an asset
  • You have the ability to manage confidential information, are discreet and ethical
  • You are a critical thinker, solutions-oriented, and have a high attention to detail

Knowledge :

  • A background in Human Resources
  • Experience with an HR Information System would be beneficial
