Job summary

Qualicare Edmonton East is looking for a Health Care Aide to support clients in East Edmonton. This casual part-time role offers flexible hours and a community-focused team.

You will help with daily personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication support, and meaningful companionship, following care plans and documenting care as required.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate or foreign nursing degree or nursing student.
• Alberta HCA Directory registration (or ability to register).
• CPR and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car.
• Kind-hearted and eager to help others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Prepare meals and help with light cleaning.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Accompany clients on errands or appointments.
• Provide friendly companionship and conversation.
• Support clients to move around safely.
• Follow care plans and document care.
