Job summary

The YMCA of Three Rivers is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Quality and Experience to lead EarlyON quality, training, and talent experience across Stratford-Perth and Waterloo Region. This leadership role focuses on equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement within our EarlyON system.

Applicants should have 5+ years of supervisory experience in child and family settings, and be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in child and family settings.
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) is required.
  • Equity-focused leadership experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays and travel across EarlyON operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a multi-site EarlyON Quality, Training, Customer Service and Talent Experience team, providing coaching and professional development.
  • Oversee program quality, operations and continuous improvement to align with pedagogy and funder requirements.
  • Provide strategic, equity-focused leadership to build partnerships and inclusive environments.
  • Build and sustain relationships with community partners and school systems for placements and collaboration.
  • Oversee records, financial accountability and data collection, ensuring safeguarding and data systems are used.
  • Coordinate communications with the Marketing team to align with brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Drive recruitment and retention to create a seamless talent pathway from volunteers to employees.

What you will do

We are excited to introduce a new Supervisor, Quality and Experience role to support the ongoing growth and excellence of our EarlyON programs. This leadership position is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for children, families, and employees by championing quality practices, professional learning, and continuous improvement across our EarlyON system. Working closely with the EarlyON Manager, Site Supervisors, Quality Training Specialists, Recruitment Specialists, community and partners, and Marketing, the Supervisor will help build employee, volunteer, and student capacity, promote innovative and inclusive practices, and ensure services reflect current research, EarlyON pedagogy, Ministry expectations, and YMCA commitments to Justice, Access, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (JAIDE).

  • Lead and develop a multi-site EarlyON Quality, Training, Customer Service and Talent Experience teamproviding coaching, mentorship, and professional development while fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee program quality, operations, and continuous improvement, ensuring engaging, play-based early learning experiences that align with EarlyON pedagogy, quality standards, community needs, and funder requirements.
  • Provide strategic and equity-focused leadership: building community partnerships, advancing YMCA priorities, and creating welcoming environments that support children, families, and employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Community Collaboration:Build and sustain strong relationships with community partners, co-located services, and stakeholders at the site and community levels. Act as the primary contact with Conestoga College and other school systems to receive, review, and approve student placement requests.
  • Administrative Management: Oversee employee, student, and volunteer records, financial accountability, and data collection. Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and organizational standards, and ensure data collection systems are utilized across EarlyON Operations to collect participant data as required by the Ministry of Education.
  • Communications: In collaboration with the YMCA Marketing team, ensure communications to the public align with EarlyON brand guidelines and ROW/YMCA/EarlyON vision and guiding principles, including social media messaging, posters, promotions, website content, email, and telephone communications. Ensure Best Practices and the online Professional Resource Library are accurate and relevant in collaboration with the leadership team and Operational Manager.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Create and foster a seamless talent pathway from volunteers to students to employees, supported by a coordinated system of resources and processes.
What you will bring
  • Experienced Leader: A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in child and family settings is required, with additional leadership and supervisory experience considered an asset. Candidates should have a proven track record of leading diverse teams, including leading other leaders, in dynamic environments, building a positive team culture, and fostering strong community connections.
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE): Deep understanding of child development and early years pedagogy, with a focus on How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.
  • Strategic & Operational Thinker: Skilled in balancing day-to-day operations with long-term planning and system alignment maintaining a positive outlook to change management.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to inspire and engage across all levels.
  • Equity Champion: Demonstrated commitment to inclusive leadership and supporting diverse communities. Foster an accountable space where everyone feels welcomed and has a sense of belonging. Provide ongoing professional learning opportunities and communicate relevant community learning opportunities available to all levels of EarlyON Operations.
  • Flexible & Mobile: Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays and travel across EarlyON Operations and communities as needed.
  • Fostering a Positive Team Culture: Skilled in building a positive team culture through relationship-building, communication, coaching and development and problem solving.
Additional Information

This position requires frequent travel within and between locations in Stratford-Perth and Waterloo Region.

Experience using CANVA, Airtable, Meta, Hootsuite, Adobe Pro, and other social media and promotions tools is an asset.
