Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Supervisor with the daily operations of the program: opening, activity set-up, interaction with children and families, circle time, snack, housekeeping duties, closing.
  • Work in collaboration with the school staff, and as directed by the Supervisor, to provide a high quality, play-based, developmentally appropriate program that reflects the needs of the community.
  • Facilitate parenting education that promotes a positive home/school partnership.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • A diploma in E.C.E./equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of ECE (in good standing).
  • Two years experience in the field, including experience in adult education/support, or community outreach is preferred.
  • Lifesaver First Aid and CPR Certification for infant/child/adult (every 3 years for FA and annually for CPR).
  • A clear police check (dated within 6 months of hire).

The hourly rate of pay is $24.03 (subject to change as rate is currently being evaluated).
